wake up zapped here where i am is unclear askew rearranged some landmarks are interchanged colors warp sounds bleed its my world but without me i just seem to be some couch surfing alien trying to find its home this reality so strange yet familiar is this what i called home? this timeline is not my own i fall out and come back a clone i cant say i wish it was the same but can i adjust to this new name?
2.
up in the smoky mountains down at an indoor pool i emerge from the water gasp for air and rub my eyes they say my soul was cleansed here but im still a sinner i wander down the streets the snow zigzags down to my feet im tired of seeing my breath im sick of the stench of cigarettes is this as good as it gets because without you here its full of regret i see you more in my dreams than in person nowadays and its got me thinking how it ended up that way frozen on the balcony compelled by the skyline gravitate towards bed as i check my phone for the last damn time and fall asleep to hotel info channel music (x4)

whim 05:38
and when things look grim we'll still run on a whim and when things look grim we'll still run on a whim we'll be in our dreams again we'll be in our dreams again we'll run on a whim

winter glooms over and darkness turns its face sneaking out to hide away i cannot recall a holiday i spent sober i cannot face my family's expectations spent our youth fucking up the strangeness lives on the memories feel faded as another year slips by i cannot recall a holiday i spent sober i cannot face my friends' disappointment spent our youth fucking up the strangeness lives on the memories feel faded as another year slips by you dont need drugs to have a psychedelic christmas the world around is more than it seems inside you'll find time is slipping by

glass temple 02:12
no one knows you quite like you would you even really want someone to with that weight on your shoulder and a stolen crown in your glass temple waiting for the world to drown and i've seen this all before see-through skin shows you're not so pure as i climb uphill and swim upstream there's rock slides separating you and me a shock on the wrist and a flinch goodnight in retrospect we wouldn't really pair right as i play back the films to show the hope is dead some memories are better buried instead
6.
left side 03:57
there's never a time there's never a time when i dont think back to when we were both alone we sat in the fields we sat in the fields and we were happy but i never sealed the deal i'm missing a piece i'm missing a piece that you could've fit i just wanted your comfort i just wanted your comfort i just wanted you to be comfortable and now i'm feeling on the left side i had the chance to be a part of your light now you're living a better life i'm watching you live a better life cause you're on someone else's left side had the chance to be the man on your right now you're living a better life im watching you live a better life and i just wish you here with me on my left side i had a taste i had a taste but didn't take a bite now i can't even have it at all i told myself i told myself i wasn't good enough i'm not sure if its true or not now i'll never know, no no I'll never know i couldn't hold on now i'm watching you slip away now i'm watching you slip away you were right there and you slipped away and now i'm feeling on the left side i had the chance to be a part of your light now you're living a better life i'm watching you live a better life cause you're on someone else's left side had the chance to be the man on your right now you're living a better life without me in a better life

sight to see 05:42
our meetup was destined after years of isolation of trying to find solace from the mistakes that i have made and their haunting presence and being slowed down by years of regret i'm too young to be stagnant in your new life i can tell that you seem to be doing well and i lose my train of thought stuck on you and the life i wish we had but you and the new enlighten me learn from young elders my path isn't over i need to learn to let go i'm moving past my mistakes i'm living here and now i see the world around me and the opportunities to come and seeing people bounce back was the kick i need it was a sight to see the frame is readjusted i am seeing more clearly experience catharsis from the moments yet to come and if i keep wallowing i'll miss the ride cause there are still sights to see
